January 22, 2013, Troy, MI — The Concours d’ Elegance of America is proud to announce the first Annual VIP Collection Tour, a personal, up-close look at two of the most interesting private automobile collections in the country: Ted Stahl’s Automotive Foundation and the debut of Terry Adderley’s private collection.
This unique opportunity is available to a very limited number of people.
The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. Attendees will begin the day at Classic & Exotic Service, Inc., one of the premier restoration shops in Michigan. Proprietor Brian Joseph, who also chairs the Concours Car Selection Committee, will welcome guests with a brief talk and some morning refreshments.
A luxury motor coach will depart for the first stop, Stahls Automotive Foundation, at 9:30 a.m. The Foundation houses a collection of the finest collectible cars from important time frames in automotive history. This is a living collection, with continually changing exhibitions of historically significant cars from the Brass, Vintage, Pre-War, Post-War and Modern Eras, along with automobile memorabilia. Cars from Ted Stahl’s collection are displayed along with a brief history and description of each vehicle.
After the Stahl tour, it’s on to the brand new display of fine automobiles owned by Terry Adderley. Mr. Adderley has been collecting rare cars for decades. After years of planning, he has assembled his finest machines for one fantastic display which has never been seen by the public.
After a few words by Mr. Adderley, visitors will be free to explore the display and enjoy a fine lunch served by renowned caterer, Forte Belanger.
